BlackStrap Glitch Collection
Project: BlackStrap Glitch Collection Client: BlackStrap Industries Role: Graphic Artist Year: 2022 About: For BlackStrap Industries’ 2022-2023 apparel collection, I created the Glitch Collection, an innovative line of patterns inspired by the artistic technique of pixel sorting. Using a coding process, I transformed a mountain photograph by sorting pixels according to their light and dark values, creating a visually striking, glitch-inspired aesthetic that aligns with the brand's rugged and adventurous identity. I refined the design in Photoshop, optimizing it for roll-to-roll printing to ensure seamless application across products like balaclavas, base layers, and neck gaiters. The collection's bold and unique patterns quickly became one of the top-selling lines for the season, resonating with outdoor enthusiasts and winter sports athletes. This project showcases my ability to blend creativity, technical innovation, and practicality to produce high-quality, performance-driven designs that stand out in a competitive market.
